What this site is

cursivegenerator.com is an online cursive tool. The generator converts text into copy-paste cursive styles and renders it in open-licence cursive fonts; the worksheet generator makes printable practice sheets from real stroke data; the alphabet, font, style and learn pages document the subject from first-party data rather than from other websites.

How it works

Everything you type is processed in your browser. Font rendering, handwriting simulation, image export and PDF composition run as client-side code, most of it in background threads, and no text you enter is sent to a server. Pages are generated in advance and served by our own server; the only requests the site makes are for the page itself, the fonts, prerendered assets, the analytics script, and the email form if you use it.

How facts are checked

Facts on this site come from datasets that live in the site's own repository and are published as CSV: the stroke data behind every letter, the join audit that classifies every font by rendering all 676 lowercase pairs, the compatibility matrix filled by pasting each text style into each platform field on real devices, and the state tracker in which a row is marked verified only when a primary source has been read and linked. Where a page states a number, it comes from one of those datasets. Articles are drafted with AI assistance against a research brief and are reviewed and published by the operator; drafts that have not passed review do not appear.

Fonts and licences

The catalogue holds only fonts published under the SIL Open Font License. Each font page records the designer, the source commit, the verification date and whether the font carries a Reserved Font Name. Fonts are served as subsetted files for rendering and are never redistributed as downloadable bundles; the source repository is linked instead.
