How to write Mom in cursive
Start with the capital M: a small entry loop, then three humps that step down slightly from left to right, ending in a tail. Its tail runs straight into the o, so the pen stays down. The o is an oval closed at the top with a short exit stroke at the midline; it hands over to the m with a short bridge at the midline, so the m starts high instead of from the line. The m is three humps drawn from the baseline, each one retracing the last downstroke, and its exit stroke finishes the word.
Nothing is added after the word: there is no i, j, t or x to dot or cross. A common slip in Mom is adding a fourth hump to m when it follows a letter with a tail, because the entry stroke looks like a hump.
