How to write Elijah in cursive
Start with the capital E: two rounded bowls stacked on the left side, drawn in one motion with a small loop where they meet. Its tail runs straight into the l, so the pen stays down. The l is a tall loop that returns to the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the i. The i is a short upstroke to the midline and a downstroke back to the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the j. The j is a short upstroke to the midline, then a downstroke that loops below the baseline; it closes its lower loop at the baseline and rises straight into the a. The a is an oval closed at the top, then a downstroke on its right side that exits at the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the h. The h is a tall loop, then a hump drawn from the baseline, and its exit stroke finishes the word.
When the word is finished, go back and dot the i and the j. A common slip in Elijah is dotting j over its loop instead of above its stem.
Where Elijah in cursive is used
A name in cursive goes on place cards, nursery art, a monogrammed gift, a cake topper or the signature line of a card. The PNG and SVG above are for those: the PNG drops into a card layout, the SVG scales for a cutting machine or a printer. The signature-style render suits an email footer or a card, and the tracing PDF is for a child learning to write Elijah. The text styles are for a bio, a caption or a message, where an image cannot go.
