Copy paste cursive that actually sticks

Everything on this page is text, not an image: Unicode symbol characters that look like cursive letters. Tap Copy on any card and paste into a bio, a nickname, a status or a message. The cards are ordered by how complete each style's alphabet is, because a complete alphabet is what survives most fields; the platform pages give the paste steps for each app.

Why some styles vanish

Apps filter characters. A username field on Instagram allows only letters, digits, full stops and underscores, so every styled character is rejected. A bio field allows almost anything printable. Game display names sit in between. When a style disappears on save, the app removed it; fall back to Bold Script, which has the most complete character range and is filtered least often.

Why some styles show boxes

A device shows an empty box when it has no font containing that character. Every current iPhone and Android phone ships maths fonts that cover the core script and bold sets, but decorative sets built from combining marks depend on the app's text engine. Older Android versions and some smart TVs lack them entirely. If a friend sees boxes, send them the plain text or an image instead.

Where it should not be used

Styled characters are decorative. They are not accessible (screen readers spell them out as symbols), not searchable (the styled name does not match the plain one) and not valid for anything official. Keep your handle plain and use cursive in the display name or bio, where it is harmless.

A quick test before you commit

Paste the styled text into the target field, save, and reload the page before you rely on it. Some apps display the styled characters in the editor but replace them on save; a reload shows what everyone else sees. If it survives, keep the plain version somewhere too, since you cannot type styled characters back in and search will not find them.

If you need the exact font

Copy-paste text cannot carry a font. When the look must be exact, or you want a specific typeface, use the font generator and download a transparent PNG or SVG.
