Grade 2 is where most US programmes introduce cursive: lowercase letters in families, then joins, then sight words. These sheets use 5/8-inch lines and the traditional slant face.

Second grade is where most US programmes start cursive, usually after the winter break, and this pack follows the order most of them use: letter families first, so one motion is repeated until it is automatic; the whole lowercase alphabet next, as a check; joins in pairs; and then sight words, where the joins meet real vocabulary. Capitals wait for grade 3 because most of them do not join and children write far fewer of them.

The rulings are 5/8 inch, the grade 2 to 3 height, in the traditional slant face. Two habits make the difference at this stage: read the model row aloud (over, down, around) before writing, and stop when the letters start to drift rather than finishing the sheet badly. Ten minutes a day beats a long weekly session, and the generator prints a fresh sheet for any family or word list in the same ruling when the pack runs out. The sheets are also the ones most parents ask for at home, so each one carries a name line and a date line for the folder that comes back to class.
