About Playwrite AU VIC

Playwrite AU VIC is a school script by TypeTogether, Veronika Burian, José Scaglione, published under the SIL Open Font License. It is partly joined: most lowercase letters connect, a few pairs stand apart. Its x-height is tall at 52 percent of the em, so the lowercase is large and reads clearly at small sizes. Strokes are plain, with swashes that stay within the letter (swash extent 0.239). The stance is a clear right slant at about 15 degrees. It is a variable font (wght 100 to 400), so the weight slider in the generator changes the real outlines rather than faking bold. It suits classroom materials, handwriting worksheets, certificates.
