Start with the capital L: a tall loop that rises to the top and falls into a rounded foot along the baseline. Its tail runs straight into the e, so the pen stays down. The e is a small loop drawn from the baseline up through the midline and back down; it runs from the baseline straight into the o. The o is an oval closed at the top with a short exit stroke at the midline, and its exit stroke finishes the word.

Nothing is added after the word: there is no i, j, t or x to dot or cross. A common slip in Leo is pinching the loop of e shut, which turns it into an undotted i.
