Start with the capital B: a tall downstroke, then two bowls drawn from the top, the lower one larger, finishing with a small loop that sits on the baseline. The B does not join: lift the pen after it and start the e with its own entry stroke. The e is a small loop drawn from the baseline up through the midline and back down; it runs from the baseline straight into the n. The n is two humps drawn from the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the j. The j is a short upstroke to the midline, then a downstroke that loops below the baseline; it closes its lower loop at the baseline and rises straight into the a. The a is an oval closed at the top, then a downstroke on its right side that exits at the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the m. The m is three humps drawn from the baseline, each one retracing the last downstroke; it runs from the baseline straight into the i. The i is a short upstroke to the midline and a downstroke back to the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the n. The n is written as before, and its exit stroke finishes the word.

When the word is finished, go back and dot the j and the i. A common slip in Benjamin is letting the bowl of b drop to the baseline, which turns it into a looped l with a bump.
